From the Ground Up: How Local Entrepreneurs Are Driving Solar Innovation
At Tangelic, we believe that the most powerful solutions come from within communities themselves. That’s why we’re proud to support the Ghana Clean Energy Entrepreneurship Incubator (GCEEI)—a program designed to empower local innovators who are building a more sustainable, equitable energy future from the ground up.
Across Ghana, a new generation of entrepreneurs is rising to meet the twin challenges of climate change and energy poverty. Through GCEEI, we’re helping them access the tools, training, and mentorship they need to turn bold ideas into impactful, scalable clean energy solutions.

Our Approach: Nurturing the Seeds of Change
The GCEEI is more than just a program—it’s a movement. Here’s how we’re building it from the ground up:
Nationwide Competition
We’re launching a nationwide search to identify and empower Ghana’s most promising clean energy entrepreneurs. By inviting applications from diverse and talented individuals across the country, we ensure the incubator reflects the full richness and potential of Ghana’s entrepreneurial spirit.
Holistic Training
Participants will embark on a transformative learning journey that combines technical, financial, and business development training. Delivered by industry experts, this comprehensive curriculum prepares entrepreneurs to navigate the complexities of the renewable energy sector and build thriving, impactful ventures.
Personalized Mentorship
Each participant will be paired with seasoned entrepreneurs and clean energy leaders who provide one-on-one guidance. This mentorship helps refine business plans, troubleshoot challenges, and unlock personal and professional growth—ensuring no entrepreneur walks the journey alone.
Seed Funding & Resources
Startups selected for the program will receive seed funding to launch or grow their ventures. They’ll also gain continued access to vital resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities to help accelerate their progress and deepen their community impact.

Local Innovation, Global Impact
The entrepreneurs in our incubator are already developing powerful, locally grounded solutions:
- ➢ Solar-powered lighting kits for rural schools and homes
- ➢ Energy-efficient cookstoves made from recycled materials
- ➢ Mobile solar kiosks that charge phones and power small businesses
- ➢ Affordable pay-as-you-go solar systems for off-grid communities
Their work is proving that clean energy isn’t a luxury—it’s a lifeline.
Empowering Entrepreneurs, Transforming Ghana’s Energy Landscape
The ripple effects of this initiative are wide-reaching:
- Expanding Access: More communities gain access to clean, reliable energy, improving education, health, and economic opportunity.
- Creating Jobs: Each startup stimulates local economies and creates meaningful, sustainable employment.
- Promoting Gender Equity: We actively recruit and support women entrepreneurs, building a more inclusive clean energy sector.
- Reducing Carbon Emissions: By replacing fossil fuels with renewables, we’re cutting emissions and helping Ghana combat climate change.
Be Part of the Change
By nurturing a new generation of clean energy leaders, the GCEEI is lighting the way to a future where every community has the power to thrive.
As we celebrate Earth Day, we invite you to support this transformative work. Your donation helps us train, fund, and mentor local entrepreneurs who are bringing clean, affordable energy to those who need it most.
